Today’s hair and even clothing trends harken back to the 1990’s making us think we’re living a real-life episode of Friends or channeling our inner Mia Wallace (Pulp Fiction).  And one of the major hair trends for Fall 2024 is sleek styled everything from micro bangs to blunt bobs.  A sleek styled blowout really shows off bold shapes, so we are reaching for heat protecting, hair rejuvenating Philip Pelusi products along with our paddle brushes, blow dryers and flat irons!

These products make styling easier with better results by smoothing and sealing the cuticle for reducing tangling and increased smoothness and reflective shine.  The Sleek Styling trend can be worn in glossy blowout or styled back of the face with either a pliable or stiff feel to the hair.  So to customize products for a pliable sleek style, we recommending starting with an application of our Tela Beauty Organics by Philip Pelusi Liquid IQ then topping it off with P2 by Philip Pelusi Polish.

This rich think glossy formula also contains USDA Certified Organic Baobab Oil but in a much higher concentration level.  This purposely gives the hair a little more weight so we recommend reserving this product for thick, medium or any density of coarse or thick hair.

Additionally, this combination works when combing damp almost wet hair sleek and smooth back off the face, another echo from the 90’s.  Long hair also can easily wear this trend by slicking all of part of the hair back into a bun.  Hair should be styled so smooth it appears borderline wet.  So if a slick but firm look is desired, we are reaching for an ultra-firm gel such as our unique P2 by Philip Pelusi Hard Stuff, 7 times stronger than gels on the market.  A bonus is its incredible Lemon Grass fragrance.

And speaking of sleek and shiny, when formulating Tela Liquid IQ we purposely packaged both products uniquely in glass bottles.  Of course, not every haircare formula or ingredient requires glass packaging, actually most products don’t.  But Liquid IQ’s ingredients are so distinct and delicately blended that we stipulated glass packaging to preserve the product’s potency and integrity.

This plus the chaperone molecule’s ability to complex with and protect active peptides and lipids from degradation while within our Liquid IQ’s glass bottle packaging until they are activated by heat in the styling process, is why the IQ formula inside stay 100% potent and effective until the last drop.

Glass bottles are odorless and non-porous and as a result considered foolproof packaging.  To make an analogy, this is why wine is almost exclusively packaged in glass bottles.  Glass preserves the wine’s quality, taste and longevity.  Glass bottles are more expensive but when needed, are well worth it.  And we believe these formulas are like a fine wine, good to the last drop.
