Echoing Pantone’s Color of The Year Rooibos Tea, 2024 rings in one of the hottest hair color trends, Rich Ruby Red.  In fact, Pantone’s color description of a “full bodied red with rich, woodsy notes” mirrors the same characteristics as this now trending hair color.  Not your traditional “go warm” red for fall, this deep crimson shade works well on most skin tones especially with a talented colorist at the helm to adjust the warmness or coolness within this hue.

This is evidenced by singer and entrepreneur Rihanna who has successfully worn both warm and cool versions of this trend and is herself a Rich Ruby Red color trendsetter.  Contrast this with model Karen Elson, who has a much cooler skin tone, but also wears this Rich Ruby Red trend.  Think ruby red gemstone for a cooler looks and add a dash of deep ginger brunette to warm it up, depending on your desired result.
