Hello everyone,
I hope this update finds you and your families safe and doing well.
As I am sure you have heard, we are under a state mandated Stay-at-Home order for the next two weeks in Allegheny County. Theoretically the mandate would expire at end of day on April 6th? Keep in mind that at the same time, all our salons are mandated shut by the State-wide closing of non-essential businesses. We will just have to wait and see if the ending of the two are treated as one.
Rest assured that we already have plans drawn up as to how we will reopen the salons once we are given the go ahead. This includes contacting all the Guests that still need to rescheduled, adjusting schedules as need be, and pushing out confirmation texts, emails, and calls. For those Designers that are all booked up at the time that we reopen, we will be authorizing over-time for anyone who wishes to do so. We will also keep updating our Guests by email blast as to our expected return and other pertinent information.
If you not have already done so, you will want to reach out and apply for PA Unemployment. This can be done by going online to https://www.uc.pa.gov/ Due to the Corona Virus situation, the state has dropped the normal one week waiting period. This means that you will qualify for benefits from the very first day you became unemployed. In order to speed up your application, please be sure to list our company as Studio of Elegance, not Philip Pelusi. We have heard stories of long waits when applying. This is due to the fact that so many people are trying to apply for benefits at one time. Just keep trying, as everyone eventually gets the process completed.
If anyone has issues or concerns with specific situations, please reach out to your Salon Group Leader or myself. We are available by phone, text, and email.
Stay safe and I hope to see you all soon.
John
