Operational Update 3/16/2020 9:00 AM

Posted on Posted in Uncategorized

Hello Everyone,

Here is an update on our operational plan as of Monday Morning, 3/16/2020.  As you know, we are all very concerned for both our Guests and our employees during this uncertain time. We are trying to be sensitive to both, the employees that feel they want and need to work, as well as, the employees who are concerned about coming to work. As you probably heard, there was a request from Allegheny County for all non-essential to close. (Hair Salons are specifically listed as a non-essential business). This is not a mandatory declaration at this point. Currently, we have decided to stay open in order to have time to create a plan on how we proceed forward in an orderly fashion, and to give the employees that wish to come in to service guests that are on their books the opportunity to do so.

In no way are we making any employee come in to work. We are leaving it totally up to the employee to decide the best course of action for them and their families. All employees should understand that there will be absolutely no repercussions of any kind no matter what the employee decides to do. All we ask is that the employee make us aware as to of whether they will be following their shifts or not. This will give us the opportunity to try and accommodate the Guests scheduled to come in. We also understand the difficulties that the school closures have created and are more than willing to discuss shortened/adjusted work schedules based on these challenges for those employees who wish to attend work where they have Guests scheduled.

Of course, this plan is subject to change at any point in time if:

  1. We become subject to a mandatory closure of non-essential businesses
  2. The mall/strip centers we inhabit end up closing or demanding our closure.

We will be reevaluating our path forward on an Hourly/Daily basis based on the rapidly changing developments.

We appreciate that each and every one of you have remained calm and professional throughout these uncertain times.
